Treasurer's Report: Nicky opened her report with the club account balance from our 2018 AGM which stood at £3,362, this year the club has spent £3,676 on entries including area and championships, sadly due to members pulling out of teams and competitions having to be postponed the club has taken a loss of £120, she was pleased to say the club was able to subsidise members with competition stabling this year and will be happy to continue this plus will look into subsidising training for 2020. Nicky then went on to say she is so very proud of our fund raising this year and thanked every member for their support in organising fundraisers and also attending, she went on to say without fund raising we would not be able to keep our club going so please asked every member to keep this up in 2020, she reported that Malton Riding club raised £2,300 this year for the club and a whopping £6,400 for Candlelighters Charity, well done every one! Nicky closed her report with a standing balance at our 2019 AGM £5,876.08. Secretary's Report: Sophia spoke to say she was happy to stand again for club secretary for 2020, she did say she was very shocked at how much time and effort goes in behind the scenes of a club and how as a member of any club you don’t realise. The committee then talked about our non ridden socials and although our quiz and pie night Lauran Turnbull kindly organised had to be cancelled last minute we all felt our club meals and summer BBQ were well attended and that we will keep them up next year, we will look at doing the quiz and pie night in February some time. It was also decided this year the club would have a year off from organising a Ball and instead run a big summer BBQ and party at the club field. The committee then talked about the dreaded subject of helpers and volunteers, it was brought up that many members yet again have been competing in teams and individually and not yet helped out, this year it has been decided that if you don’t help out you wont compete and the club are going to be very strict with this, its Maltons job to run the dressage at the summer show which takes around 11 people but we also need to provide 6 people for the horse trials and 4 people for the show cross, it is asked that you put in your diary now the 2020 dates and let us know asap what day you can help out. This year BRC have increased our membership fees by around 10%, it was decided that our club will fund this increase by subsidising every member by 50p, meaning that our 2020 membership fees will remain the same. Some of our club members brought up how they would like to see our teams in club colours and club numnahs, they remarqued how other clubs who follow this rule look very smart and how as a new member to the club it is easier to recognise who your fellow team mates are to introduce yourself, support them and cheer them on as all us Malton members do so well. Club colours, clothing and numnahs can be purchased from Sally Anne Wainwright at www.chevalunique.co.uk her price list can be found on our web site at www.maltonridingclub.weebly.com (please state MRC when ordering) if you are intending on representing our club please consider purchasing our club merchandise, Christmas is just round the corner. Nicky Small our training officer has very kindly organised us some Harriet Morris-Baumber clinics so keep a eye out on our facebook page for the dates, also Jess will keep going with the Lucinda Atkinson clinics so again look out for those. It was brought up that all members requested club training but sadly they always seem to be poorly attended, so please remember if you don’t use them you will loose them. AGM 2020 will be held on 9/11/20 Meeting closed at 9pm
